Ready to live a life that is more than
just sustainable?

We all can use guides to help get us to where we wish to be.

People who are a bit further than we are along the path we want to follow. Sometimes we tell everyone about them, how they’re helping and supporting us. And frankly, sometimes they’re our secret guide, because we can’t imagine how we can actually get out of the life we’re in now, into the thriving life we know—sometimes with just an inkling, a hint—is possible. And we’re not quite ready to share with the world about this part of ourselves.

I’ve benefited from so many mentors along my way. The best ones: showed me support and love—even in the face of me revealing the parts of myself I wasn’t proud of and reflected back to me the parts of myself that were beautiful that I didn’t see in myself. And as time developed, interestingly their role for me became less defined: less of guru or expert, and more of friend, teacher, mentor, and even student, as I came to embody my own unique wisdom and gifts I had to bring to the world.

In this one-on-one mentorship, we will build a safe haven together for you to: share the important parts of yourself you’ve dismissed as impractical/silly/unwanted, learn how the dominant paradigms hurt rather than destroy us (even though so many people have bought into them), hear stories about how others including myself have made personal changes (and have come out thriving in the process!), try on the ‘clothes’ of your new emerging identity, and, as you’re ready, hatch your escape plan.

I love to teach. So each time we meet, I’ll be sharing a short presentation with some ideas to ponder, to incorporate into your process. I’ll cater this especially for you, to what topic I think will best serve you in that point of your journey. The topics might be scientific, or on personal development, or about nature.

This evolution looks different for all of us: the exact path, the speed at which we go, the gifts we have to share. But one thing is clear to me: you will begin to feel less crazy about trying to survive in an unsustainable system.

It’s time to thrive.

Thriving life asks us to nourish what is already thriving
& create with the flow of Earth’s natural processes.

There’s a sacrificial part of the dominant culture that insists we always save the good stuff—especially for ourselves—for later: “You can have dessert after you eat your vegetables.” “Do your homework, and then you can go play.” “You can have a great retirement if you just sacrifice yourself while you're climbing the career ladder.” “We need to focus on eliminating the bad things (carbon emissions, pollution) as the very first priority.”

There’s a big drawback to this approach. With it, we take action arising from a place of our guilt and shame, which is often also a place of our fear and anger, and ultimately the place of our mental, physical, and spiritual exhaustion. I see it in the people who work in corporate sustainability, I see it in the environmental activists, and all kinds of people around me.

A question for you to ponder: Are you likely making the best decisions, taking the best actions, in service of all life on Earth, when you’re operating from this place of depletion? Are you so embedded in this worldview in this moment, that it’s hard to even answer this question?
